“We need Liz in Washington to be a check and balance on radical politicians that have lost touch with average Americans.”

Schenectady, NY – Today Marc Molinaro, the Dutchess County Executive who ran a competitive race for Governor against Andrew Cuomo in 2018, has endorsed Liz Joy, who is running in New York’s 20th Congressional District against Paul Tonko. Molinaro is currently running for Congress himself in the 19th District.

Molinaro lauded his support saying, “Liz Joy is the right candidate at the right time. She is a friend and one of the hardest working people I know. Liz will make an outstanding Member of Congress who will always look out for the residents of her District.”  “With the cost of living skyrocketing and crime spreading throughout New York, we need Liz in Washington to be a check and balance on radical politicians that have lost touch with average Americans. I know this District well and can attest to the fact that it is winnable. I’m proud to endorse Liz Joy for Congress and look forward to serving with her in January,” Molinaro concluded.

During his GOP Gubernatorial run against Andrew Cuomo, Molinaro won the 20th Congressional District portion of the state, which covers the Capitol Region, including Albany, Troy and Schenectady.

Joy welcomed the endorsement, “I am truly grateful for Marc’s friendship and support. He has shown that a Republican can win this District and I look forward to working with him in Washington to advance policies that will help New Yorkers, and all Americans thrive, not just survive.”
